 A New Era of Early Childhood Education: Young Minds vs AI

This paper will introduce the current technological landscape of early childhood education (ECE), specifically ages between Pre-K and grade 2, by outlining the general usage of technology within classrooms and the specific usage of AI, as well as defining the parameters of technology that are considered AI within education. It will then explore the expected projection of AI within this particular field of education, as well as analyze and reflect on its short-term and long-term impacts.

Mindful Words: Exploring the Intricate Dance of Language and Thought

From as far back as 4 BCE, humans have pondered over the relationship between language and thought. In modern times, this curiosity has not died down but instead has encouraged thinkers to postulate different theories on this matter. These have in turn been the subject of much debate within different spheres of the cognitive sciences. This paper will first focus on dissecting the major schools of thought on the topic of language development and the relationship between language and thought. The second part will focus on research experiments conducted on bilingual individuals, to assess how their first language has impacted the way they communicate and express themselves in their common second language: English. This study contributes to our understanding of linguistic relativity and has implications for fields ranging from cognitive psychology to language education.
