Jenalyn Weekes

I hail from the beautiful island of Saint Lucia, often referred to as the Helen of the West Indies, where I spent my childhood and early adolescence. At the age of 14, I relocated to the island of Montserrat, to join a population of roughly 5000 people, continuing my journey through the rich culture of Caribbean life.

From an early age, I was immersed in an environment where the natural world and the complexities of the human mind were not just subjects of academic interest but lived experiences. My parents, as well as the many adult role models in my childhood, are dedicated professionals in mental health who introduced me to the nuances of human behavior, laying the groundwork for a lifelong passion for studying and understanding the complexities of the human condition.

In 2022, I completed my degree in Biology at Bard College at Simon's Rock have worked in research labs at AbbVie and Dana-Farber Cancer institute.
